Together Adallom’s Cloud Application Threat Insights and Alerts with FireEye’s Threat Intelligence and Enterprise-Wide Threat Indicators to Help Protect Organizations From Attacks
LAS VEGAS, January 27, 2015 - Cloud access security broker Adallom and FireEye, Inc. (NASDAQ: FEYE), the leader in stopping today’s advanced cyber attacks, today announced a joint integration of Adallom’s security visibility for cloud applications with the FireEye® Threat Analytics Platform™ (TAP™) to improve the overall security posture of an organization. The announcement was made at FireEye Momentum 2015, FireEye’s annual sales kick-off conference featuring FireEye partners from around the world.
The joint integration addresses the security risks created by the migration of corporate data and workflows to cloud applications like Salesforce, Box, Office 365 and Google Apps. These types of migrations often result in silos of corporate data that cannot be protected by an organization’s security infrastructure.
By integrating Adallom’s unique and context-rich cloud application security insights with FireEye TAP, organizations gain better visibility into attacks on cloud applications. The joint integration is designed to correlate these cloud-based insights with indicators of compromise from traditional IT infrastructure and threat data from FireEye Dynamic Threat Intelligence™ and provide organizations with insight into attacks across their entire IT infrastructure.
"In recent years, the cloud has become a ubiquitous part of the enterprise IT mix, and as with any technology with explosive growth, there comes a new set of security considerations," said Grady Summers, vice president of strategic solutions at FireEye. "We developed FireEye TAP for these new realities, and by integrating with Adallom, we're able to expand our customers’ security visibility into their cloud environments. FireEye and Adallom are working together to deliver more meaningful insights on user behavior and data, improving security capabilities with a more complete picture of an organization’s IT assets and users."
The joint integration allows customers to gain insights into cloud application usage and threats, including potential phishing attacks, misconfigured share settings, compromised accounts and anomalous behaviors. The centralized dashboard in TAP is designed to provide visibility and advanced analysis of activities from FireEye and Adallom so that security teams can improve intelligence, cut through the noise, prioritize the most critical events, and respond to incidents faster.
“Recent high-profile breaches demonstrate the increasing sophistication of attacks and show us how on-premise attacks can quickly move to target SaaS application data,” said Ami Luttwak, co-founder and CTO of Adallom. “It’s critical that customers take a comprehensive approach to protecting their users and assets, and this joint integration makes this possible. The unmatched context-rich insights delivered by Adallom’s cloud application security platform has established us as a de facto standard for organizations working to secure data, govern application usage and defend against cloud attacks. We’re excited to partner with FireEye, the leader in stopping advanced cyber attacks, to integrate these insights and extend the protection to cloud deployments.”
