Global Cyber Security Conference to be Held in Washington D.C. November 28-30
MILPITAS, CA – October 19, 2016—FireEye, Inc. (NASDAQ: FEYE), the leader in stopping today's advanced cyber attacks, will bring together experts in security technology, threat intelligence and incident response at the FireEye Cyber Defense Summit 2016 later next month to address the challenges facing businesses and government. The Summit takes place November 28-30 at the Washington Hilton in Washington, D.C.
The Summit – now in its seventh year – was known as MIRcon® until 2014, when FireEye announced plans to expand the focus of this annual cyber security conference.
Keynote speakers for this year’s Summit will include FireEye CEO Kevin Mandia, FireEye Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer Grady Summers, and United States Department of Justice Assistant Attorney General for National Security John Carlin, as well as renowned polar explorer Ben Saunders.
The Summit will feature 36 sessions across four tracks – Incident Response, What a C-level Executive Needs to Know, Tales from the Trenches, and Solutions for Industries. The Solutions for Industries track – a new focus for the Summit – will include sessions focused on government, healthcare, insurance, financial services and industrial systems and critical infrastructure security. Details on the sessions are available on the Summit website at www.fireeyesummit.com.
In addition to the track sessions, the Summit will include technology demos from FireEye and FireEye Partners, several networking events, and five post-summit training courses.
The current line-up of Summit sponsors includes Big Switch Networks, CyberArk, Exabeam, F-5, ForeScout, Gigamon, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, IXIA, Lieberman Software, and PhishMe.
“Each year, our Summit delivers valuable insights and updates from some of today’s leading cyber security experts, and in 2016, the knowledge that will be shared in our keynotes, track sessions and training is as important as ever,” said Mandia. “Our work on the frontlines of today’s most serious breaches tells us that business and government organizations face new and potentially damaging security challenges, and FireEye Cyber Defense Summit 2016 will offer guidance on how to best prepare for, prevent, respond to and remediate cyber attacks.”
Discounted early bird pricing for government, academia and partners has been extended to November 21. In addition, any organization that purchases ten Summit passes will receive an additional two passes free.
