Bell Launches Managed Threat Detection and Response Solution in Partnership With FireEye
Posted: Wed Jun 05, 2019 02:42:37 PM

A key challenge for many organizations is finding the resources to build and maintain effective cyber defenses. As a provider of numerous services to Canadian businesses, Bell knows this full-well. Bell is Canada’s largest telecommunications company, and in order to best serve their customers facing this issue, it has launched a new Managed Threat Detection and Response (MTDR) solution, which incorporates FireEye capabilities.

A FireEye partner since November 2013, Bell has been offering customers a core portfolio of FireEye products such as Email Security, Endpoint Security and Network Security. More recently Bell expanded its partnership with FireEye when it developed and launched the Bell MTDR service which incorporates FireEye managed security solutions within the Bell integrated security operations platform.

Bell MTDR offers organizations several benefits including comprehensive managed security services, a simpler way of protecting vital assets – and access to a team of highly experienced cybersecurity experts. This solution also provides advanced security offerings like proactive hunting which are usually only available to Fortune 100 companies with fully staffed in-house Security Operations Centers (SOCs). It features a complete suite of detection, protection and investigation capabilities which provides organizations with the tools they need to stay ahead of evolving and complex threats, while minimizing the impact of a security breach. The final outcome achieved by these features is that the impact of every dollar of security budget is maximized while some of the burden associated with running security in-house is removed.

A key part of the offering is the insight and expertise that FireEye can provide based on the 100,000 hours of incident response work that the FireEye team takes on every year. This knowledge combined with proactive hunting of hidden attacker activity allows organizations the freedom to focus more on their core business.

With Bell’s security leadership in Canada combined with the benefits of FireEye technology and experience, we’re looking forward to seeing the positive impact we can have on the security of Canadian companies.
